A funny thing happened to my daughter yesterday that made me think a good bit about something I’d been doing for a bit when it comes to list building that I hadn’t really made that big of  a deal about.

We were standing in line at the local snow cone shack, and yes I said snow cone lol. It’s still 85 degrees in Florida today. All the other kids were getting cherry, blue rasberry and any of the other flavors they had, but when my kid gets up there she simply asks if she can mix three or four flavors together for her snow cone. I really didn’t give it much thought to be honest, I think as kids we’ve all mixed three or four flavors of soda from the fountain machine so it wasn’t a big deal. But…

As soon as the other kids saw her do that, they  immediately looked at the girl behind the counter and started asking if they could mix flavors too. As nice as she was about it, you could tell she wasn’t all that thrilled that my kid started it. My point to that though is think of that when it comes to list building.

While my kid creating something viral amoungst the crowd that was standing around, with list building you have the opportunity to create something viral yourself if you just implement one little thing.

For a while now, I’ve had a viral script on the back end of my optin forms that simply tells people there is a contest going on for a couple free prizes. The each get a link to pass around and if they get five clicks, the prize will automatically unlock and they can get the free download. Now a lot of people will say “ah, nobody is going to do that”. Let me tell you right now that those people are dead solid WRONG.

Just recently I did a solo add for about 1K clicks. I got a little over 600 optins from it, but guess what those 600 optins did just from me offering them a free gift for sending five other people to the page? I got an extra 300 subscribers!

Do the math and think about what that can add up to over the course of a year and you’ll be shocked. The key is making it simple for them. I have a script that auto generates their link and gives them the facebook and twitter buttons to send it out. Some will and some won’t, some will get the prize and some won’t. But think about this…

If even 25% of those people who optin send out that link and each one of them get even 1 person to sign up on your squeeze page, how many extra people is that going to put on your list that you didn’t have to do a thing to make happen?

The script I use cost me about 47.00 for unlimited sites and you can see what I use here.   There are others out there that will run you close to that and some are more. Me personally I like this one because I’m use to it, but it’s certainly not your only option. What’s not an option though, and of course this is only my opinion, is not putting something like this on your list building efforts. The best part is you can use this in any niche.

Trust me when I say you need to put this type of thing into place. It’s made a huge difference in my numbers and it can yours too.

This is something that I’ve been doing for a bit now and the results have been great! I thought it would be pretty cool to let you all know about and start to implement into your own business.

We all know that building a list is something that you need to do in order to solidify a foundation for your business and while there are a ton of different ways to do this, this one is probably my favorite one to do.

It’s very easy to implement, it just takes a tiny bit of effort on your part is all:) I think once you realize just how simple it is, you’ll be glad you did it.

I am NOT Rich, nor am I saying that anyone is broke, but the theory behind these principles make a lot of sense! I used to look at a lot of things this way myself.

One of the greatest secrets there are is how you use your mind. This doesn’t just work for things like building mlm leads or how well you want a funnel to perform, this kind of thinking can go into every facet of your life.

The pep talks about “you can be what ever you want to be” that we all got from mom and dad were nice, but if you really break down how successful people think, you’d be surprised just how different it really is.

To successful people, failure is not an option. In a successful persons mind, there isn’t even a word that sounds like failure because they will do what ever it takes to get to where they want to be.

How many times have you personally given up on something because you thought it was to hard or you just didn’t have enough time? Easy to justify to yourself when you give it one of those two reasons isn’t it. This is what many people do every day and then wonder why they don’t ever achieve the success that others do. People seem to think that many times when a person becomes rich, it was all about being in the right place at the right time or just flat out lucky. Not only having a positive mind, but actually believing that you will become successful is one of the biggest mlm secrets out there.

Try it and make a commitment to yourself right now. It doesn’t have to be with your network marketing business, instead make it something personal to just you. Take failure out of the equation and don’t give yourself any option to make up an excuse that it won’t work. When you remove failure as one of the possibilities as far as an outcome, you’ve only got one option left.

Trust me, when you truly believe that there is only one outcome and that the thought of “what if I fail” is completely wiped away, you will be stunned at exactly what it is you can accomplish. Your mind is extremely powerful and your thought process determines a lot of things every single day. So use it in the best way possible to make it a benefit to yourself and you will be taking advantage of one of the biggest mlm secrets there is.

I was sent this video the other day, and I’ve got to say if you ever want some motivation to get moving, then watch this. This guy will really get you ramped up.

You hear it all the time about how people want to start to make money online. They are focused on the fact that they can write their own schedule, make a ton of money and be ready to watch the game that’s on late during the week. Hell, why not? If you work online, you don’t have anywhere to be.

Then what happens is reality sets in and you realize that it’s not going to be as easy as you might have thought. Truth is, it is pretty easy, but most people leave out the most important part. They forget it’s called WORK from home. You still have to work, just like you would if you were at any other job you were getting paid for. But, I realize that sometimes people will get down or frustrated and just want to give up. If you feel like your starting to step foot in these shoes, then here’s a few tips to keep you going.

1. Remember Why You Started In The First Place

Go back and look again as to why you started this. I’ll be after remembering for a few minutes, you’ll get a renewed sense of drive.

2. Put Yourself In A Position You Can’t Escape

Now, obviously I’m not talking about putting yourself into a financial position that can harm you or your family. But instead of buying 1 months worth of hosting, buy it for the whole year. Give yourself a reason not to just throw money down the toilet. Post your goals in a public place that you frequent for everyone to see. You don’t want to be publicly known as a quitter do you? Well, unless it has something to do with a bad habbit:)

3. Surround Yourself With Motivated And Successful People

Believe it or not, this is one of the most important things you can ever do. Confidence breeds more confidence, so if you surround yourself with these type of people, you will begin to adapt their though process. This works in sports, business and anything else you are into really. It’s more powerful than most give it credit for.

4. Set A Time Specific Deadline For Everything

Another powerful step that many overlook. Give yourself a deadline for everything you do. It’s so much easier to just kind of mope around or procrastinate when you don’t have anything specific to do in mind. How many hours have you just wasted “looking around”? Probably more than most of us care to admit.

Remember, this is one of the few types of businesses that you can actually get more out of it than you put in, BUT only once you’ve gotten to a level that its possible. Getting there just takes a little work:)

So I figured I’d do something that most people will think is a little crazy and target the most competitive keywords online…

Yea, some of my friends told me “good luck” for the most part and some of them just laughed, BUT I’ve always said if you listen to what everyone else thinks you forget to think for yourself!

Get to work, I wonder how many people have actually thought about the power of those three words. Sure, most of us have probably heard them come from either our parents or from a boss who was not happy with our performance, but how many of you have actually said those three words to yourself.

So many people when trying to build a business online, do nothing more than search out information that is going to give them $100,000 overnight that so many programs claim to be able to do. Usually this winds up hindering people so badly that they never even start. And if they do actually start, they’re so confused with all information they have downloaded into their brain, that they can’t put the proper pieces together to find any success.

There are so many different methods for trying to make a dollar online and that very well may be the problem that most people face. How do you know which one to do? It’s not really a matter of which one you should choose, it’s more of a pick a method and give it 100% of your effort. Instead of spending all your time reading in forums, downloading free e-books or searching for the next million dollar program, why not just get to work on what you already know how to do.

The majority of people who have ever researched making money online already know at least 75% of what needs to be done. The problem lies in the fact that they just do it. It’s human nature to want to try out the latest flashy program. I mean come on, who doesn’t want to make $10,000 overnight? But the fact is you’re not going to make that kind of money unless you take the time to actually build the business. And I can’t think of one business that is constantly changing up the methods that uses.

Businesses will usually be founded upon a method or a marketing tactic and drain that method for every last dime it can get. Only once they have become profitable did they begin to branch out into various other forms of income. Now obviously there are exceptions to every rule, but most people who are successful online have a core method that built the foundation for their business. And if you actually take the time to sit down and talk to one of these people, they will almost 100% of time tell you that they busted their asses get there. They didn’t spend a ton of time in forums or downloading books, they created a plan and they got to work.

So the next time you look up and realize that you’ve wasted two hours reading an interesting thread on your favorite forum or just finished reading the 5th e- book you downloaded this week, remember that that is two hours that you’re never going to be able to get back that you could have been working on building your business.

GET TO WORK! Take those three words tape them somewhere that you can see them. Read them every time you sit down at your computer and you will be surprised how much more productive and successful you can become. Squeeze every last opportunity out of the business model you choose and get to work making it successful. It’s your business and nobody else is going to do the work for you.
